A gun the NRA doesn't want you to have

I was appalled at the NRA when I saw this story and I am a life time member. Basically this pistol has a digital component that won't allow the gun to be fired if it isn'tin the hands ofthe owner. The owner wears a watch that signals in proximity to the pistol allowing itto fire.

I have a teenager in my home and I have guns for work. I keep them in a safe locked up tight when I am away. But this thing I could leave on the coffee table (not that I would) and it's harmless, barring some catastrophic failure.

The only argument I saw against it was asinine. I am disgusted with these groups over this. What a practical invention this is

The NRA was meant to keep the gov from taking people's guns and to make sure gun owners knew how to use them. Today it's all about selling guns and ammo and to hell with the people getting shot.

That is the ridiculous thing about it. This is another gun, it might open up a new market.

The opposition seems to be in making this weapon mandatory and thus eliminating other guns. It is also very likely to be hacked.

Not sure I would worry about it being hacked. You have to have the transmitter within ten inches of the gun.
