About President Bush.

First of all, roller coaster of emotions due to the fact of the Bush era ending so soon.

But I hate it when these stoned slackers and high school drop outs come and rant about President Bush with their uneducated logic. I mean seriously. Is it a bandwagon to hate on George? If it is, then it should be burned and dumped in a river and replaced with a jet with the banner "Mission Accomplished" on it. I remember some Canadian came in here and said "Bush is gay. Don't vote for him." This was a while ago, but when someone comes and cheap shots on my hero, then I do not forget. I believe this should be a time of remembrance and the best way to do that is to set things straight. First of all, Mr. Canadian Bush Hater, he could not run for a third term. Believe me, I had dreams about this. Second, how is Bush gay? He made us safe from terrorist attacks. When was the last time, there was a terrorist attack on U.S soil? 9/11? We've been safe ever since. Second, the Iraqis had it coming. You see, I believe President Bush had planned out this war as a test of courage for the sap who'd get the next presidency. Sort of like a nice personal "Fuck you." The economy? It's been messed up before the Bush era, so it wasn't his fault. The banner "Mission Accomplished" on a jet only months after the war started? It was just a typo. It was supposed to say "Mission Impossible ~ In theaters near you" but some idiot mixed it up with the ad for the internet spin-off version of Mission Impossible. Cased closed.

Also, these Obama lovers. Do you seriously think that once Obama sets into office that the sky will open and celestial choirs will be singing and that will fix America? But seriously. There is nothing in need of fixing. I hear, "Failed War", and I say "What?" Because I don't know the meaning of that word. You guys just don't understand Bush, but once Obama comes into office, then you are going to say "Guys. I really wish George Dubja were here. Hold me."

Second of all. I've developed a strong hate for President elect Obama after I have stumbled upon a photograph of Obama in the middle of President Bush senior and President Bush. He stole my dream.

Now. Do you understand why Bush was such a great President? This is only my opinion on this subject. I am not trying to persuade you into anything other than nothing, so please don't take any offense to this.

lol made me smile.

I agree 110% I have said in other posts Obama has way to much pressure being put on him and people are setting themselves up for disappointment.

I also agree that people should give Mr Bush a break it's not fair no one can know how hard it is unless they themselves are President many of the decisions he made would have been out of best intentions for the country many of them were very hard decisions and many of them no matter which way he chose to go on them he would still have ended up with bad press.

I think he did a good job and should be applauded it isn't the easiest of jobs and well I think he was a very brave and courageous man no maybe he didn't make the best decisions but I think we can all agree he really did try we're all human we all make mistakes and I think we should all practice a little forgiveness :)

Rick, I agree with every single thing you just said.. we ARE putting too much pressure on Obama, and we WILL be dissappointed. We aren't going to get a fix on the economy in a matter of a second just because we get a new president.. I can feel the pressure being put up on him right now. And seriously, who started this bs about President Bush being so bad and shit? Then why the hell did we vote for him for president 2 times in a row? Then shouldn't we blame ourselves?

Actually there's some controversy about if Bush should have really won the second term. While I don't really believe 100% of the claims about that, I wouldn't be surprised if it was tampered with. I mean, a regular American can't actually gain access to such info anyway so all we can do is speculate. As for Obama, he's indeed no Messiah but in a way all the hype he has gotten has inspired some people to get off their couch and do something. Some people who never volunteered before got involved, so even if he's not really a great leader, the fact that he managed to get some people involved is one step up. In order to fix this economy, it's going to take the involvement of the whole nation not just one man. So while Obama alone might not be able to fix the problem, he might at least help get the nation take some action and help make it into a realization.

Although at the end of the day, while the economy seems to be in turmoil, it's only crap for the middle and lower class, the rich are still profiting for the most part so they'll screw over the little guy regardless..

Are you sure you aren't thinking about the first one? The first election was the one that was very controversial. I would have to agree about Obama's "messiah" status.

Wait what? You guys are saying (or heard from others) that the second election of George Bush getting elected was possibly rigged? Well I don't think thats possible.. how could have somebody possibly broke into the buildings where all the data is stored, change it, make it look like nothing happened, and leave without getting caught? and it's already been 8 years? I mean aren't there security cameras or something? What you just said really doesn't seem likely, I mean I'm not saying it's impossible, but how is that possible.. lol

No, read my post again.

I was referring to the first election in which Al Gore received more popular votes, and the deciding electoral votes were signed off by George Bush's brother and would-be administration officials (Secretary of State of Florida)

Not to mention the Supreme Court ended up choosing our next president.

Yeah, other than that no problems.

I have so much to say about Bush so it could be a hole novel. I really dislike that man, he thinks that he can do whatever he wants and he doesn't look for the others best since he is putting him self at first all the time. I mean, what wrong with that man?

I think as president you need to have eyes to see the hole country (as Obama does). And don't go to war all the time. How much haven't we spend on Bush war games? Billion and billions, I really hope that Obama fix the mess that Bush have brought us in.

You bring up some good points GunnedDown. As soon as Obama steps into office he can't fix everything instantly. I'm an Obama supporter and even I know that but a lot of people think it will just happen the minute that he steps into office.

No offence to any American but i would like to ask you a question.have anyone of you posters seen or read the 9/11 commission report.if you haven't then please go through a copy of it and you will know the truth about the bush administration,i have read it and it is piled up with flaws and i mean big time flaws. If you don't like reading the go through documentaries like Fahrenheit 9/11 or the best one zeitgeist.you will get all your answers trust me,now second thing is that it is not about targeting obama or hating anybody.obama is not god and things will change after time but the issue of terrorism will still remain as its not going to end soon.so it will be an interesting thing to see that what obama does about it.

Actually there was controversy in the election against Kerry, but it did not get as much coverage as the first one. You can see that the Rolling Stones mentioned it HERE. It was also mentioned in several other books, and the reason why I brought it up was because I became aware of it while reading a book about some of the modern day problems in America and the author brought this up.

This is the first time in the last eight years I've come across someone who calls Bush their Hero! I am still giving the benefit of doubt and think that you just wanted to start a thread that would trigger off a ton of replies. Unfortunately I see a lot of people are just falling in with you and nodding their heads in affirmation.

I don't know about Obama but Bush sucks! And you really really need to read more, observe more, watch more news and think! Sadly nothing can be done about a person's IQ! So...

LOL... are you judging someone's IQ by the way they post on the forums? Just because somebody has a different opinion than you, doesn't mean you have to talk shit about them and imply that they have a "low" IQ. I don't see you backing up your not-even-stated opinion, so why are you trying to start something?

And no, it's just because of people like you that make Bush look good, he's not my hero thank you very much.

As a person, I truly do believe George Bush did what he *thought* was best for the country.

However, he was surrounded by incompetent advisers and a terrible vice president. When you combine this with the fact that he is extremely stubborn - that is just asking for trouble.

Yeah I know what you're saying but that wasn't really the point I was trying to get across with my post. I'm just saying (in a clever way? :D) that there's too many people (some don't even know who Bush is..) that just hate on him the instant they hear the name.. it's almost like a stereotype now..

Like
asian person 1: Hi there!
random person 2: OMG YOU NERD!

Well that wasn't really a good example, but you can probably see where I'm coming from? :p

I know where he is coming from Firz. I really don't like what Bush has done and I was quite disappointed in him. That said, it's almost a farce with a number of the Bush haters. I was unlucky enough to know a number of Obamamaniacs and Bush haters. They just hated him because it was cool and revolutionary. I didn't have a problem with another student who actually understood the policies and had reasons for his belief. I just can't stand anyone blindly following an ideology.

I'll also note that they tended to be a little more in your face and rude about it. Just sort of a perfect storm of annoyance by a bunch of people who wanted to be "cool" and "idealistic".

Yeah, exactly what I meant, and seeing by the majority of Firz posts just trying to start shit with others (like look at his post on one of the welcome threads.. not very welcoming), that's the only reason I don't respect your opinion + the fact you feel the need to make fun of someone's "IQ" when you don't even know them in real life? Damn trolls, we don't need people like you on this forum, to be honest. (the way you treat others is the way YOU should be treated)
