Good progress seems to be made with locating some of the bodies and debris of Air France crash. Equipment has also been forwarded from the US to search for the black box that may be as deep as 22000 ft.

I hope they find all the bodies. I think if they don't really know what caused the crash they will make something up. They may even do the old "pilot error" thing. It is easy to blame a dead person.:(

Right, but these are Frenchies they probably will blame it on God :D Seriously though, it looks as though they are pointing their fingers at (a) a natural disaster - electric storm (b) design of the instruments that could not respond properly when they must have gone manual. When the plane was hit by the electric storm it nixed all the electric equipment.

I recently read a blog telling the people that the plane crashed because a website with the same name was taken down.

This is the most absurd thing I have heard. How can they make a connection between air flights and a domain name? :(

Wow, maybe this belongs in conspiracy theories . It never ceases to amaze me what some people can think of.

No doubt this guy immediately tried to buy the domain after the crash and cash in on it only to find out it was taken. So this is how he gets his search engine hits.

Absolutely! This flight has no mystery around it. The instruments got knocked out by an electric storm causing the plane to disintegrate. This will be one flight that they actually can say what happened, not in complete specifics, as the black box has not been found yet, but they can come up with some good conclusions. I feel very sorry for Air France, especially in the current economic climate, as it is no doubt going to get class action civil suits.
