American Citizens an FEMA.

Can you even imagine what it must feel like to be in an American territory right now, knowing that any benefit or protection no longer means squat while you watch the U.S Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico dwell in death and devastation while FEMA is gutted and incapable of assisting you. You depended on and loved being part of a country that now gives you little more than nice words from the President while your Grandmother dies of starvation and you KNOW no help is coming.
I wish these people the best but know the worst is yet to come, FEMA is not even staffed after months of distraction.

Primarily I am watching and reading about the incredible suffering while noting the limited response from the Federal Government and very limited response from FEMA in comparison to past events of similar destruction. I also note the absence of reaction from the President of the United States beyond a paragraph read off a teleprompter during an event to make him feel good.
