I don't understand the reason for considering this a major news story, but it's received top billing at most networks here and abroad for several days. So what if a nutcase pastor wants to burn a book? He's not burning people. Nor is he beheading anyone. Nor is he sending young men into cafes to blow up innocent people. Nor is he ... well, you get the idea.

If it was a government-sponsored book burning, then we'd have reason to pay attention.

Meanwhile, supporters of Islam are half rabid over the story. But no surprise there -- they go nuts when someone draws a pic of their pedophile prophet.
