Atheism cannot have churches as it is not belief but disbelief. Atheists like Christians differ with every one.

Tell that to the atheist churches who are using the term.

You do know that the definition of church is more like meeting house. Yes?

Regardless, I kind of dislike that they are not using the term, Mystery Schools, as that suits better.

Atheists show their better doctrine by being more peaceful and law abiding than theists.

Their ideology, however you describe thinking systems, is second only to Gnostic Christianity.

Greco-Roman mysteries - Wikipedia

Mystery Schools are not so much to teach, as to give their adherents a place to seek, and above all, appease our tribal instinct that seeks fellowship and security of thought.

They, usually, unlike the vile god religions, do not bother with mythos, and wisely turn to logos.

Atheism seems to be becoming more prevalent and definitely atheists are becoming more outspoken. What do you think set this off? Where was the turning point? The science has been around for decades, but it's only lately that we are seeing quite a big push for freethinking and atheistic or at least agnostic viewpoints. Many books are being published (e.g. The God Delusion, god Is Not Great, etc.) and now we have the billboards going up.

I wasn't really that focused on religion at all a few years ago, so I'm not sure what the turning point was, but it seemed rather abrupt.

Any thoughts?

The turning point seems to have been tied to internet preachers on forums such as this and people calling out falsehood in theistic writings. Basically those who believe try to get those who do not to get saved and they do not like being called out on it.

Indeed.

Believers lost their ability to lie convincingly.

Not that they ever had any decent truths or moral tents to convert with after selling out.

If they had, they would not have had to use inquisitions and murder to grow Constantine's Christian religion.
