Well, I usually try to call myself a libertarian socialist.
Anarchism, as a political philosophy, is simply an extreme form of libertarian socialism.
The root of the word "anarchism" is the Greek, "anarchos", which means "without rulers" - that describes the aim of removing the state and illegitemate authority quite well, i think. Bakunin explained "this is the sense in which we truly are anarchists". The term "anarchy", meaning chaos, comes from the misapprehension that this situation, without a state, necessitates chaos, which is actually pretty ridiculous, not to mention entirely contrary to basic logical reason and historical evidence.
So, why shouldn't we all ouselves anarchists?
