1. It seems that the US mass media and most Americans including smart politicians Mike Pompeo, Tom Cotton and Marco Rubio are unaware that they are living in a gigantic "cesspool" of resilient “superbug” pathogens.

Donald Trump, who was reportedly described as a moron by former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, appears formidably well informed of the rising drug-resilient infections in the country. It may explain why he kept dragging his feet on coronavirus response until he finally changed his tune on March 13, declaring a national emergency over the pandemic.

As recent as March 9, 2020, he tweeted: "So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that!"

He seemed to imply in his tweet: "I don't see what the fuss is about. We just throw up our hands in despair and watch helplessly as more people in this country die like flies from the common flu every year (between 27,000 and 70,000) than the few deaths (546) from the coronavirus pandemic. Think about that!"

2. CDC’s Antibiotic Resistance Threats in the United States, 2019 (2019 AR Threats Report) includes the latest national death and infection estimates that underscore the continued threat of antibiotic resistance in the U.S.

According to the report, more than 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant infections occur in the U.S. each year, and more than 35,000 people die as a result. In addition, 223,900 cases of Clostridioides difficile occurred in 2017 and at least 12,800 people died....

3. Mind you, CDC has nothing to do with China in spite of the two C's. Neither has it anything to do with conspiracy theory or Chinese collusion. CDC, an acronym for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is one of the major operating components of the US Department of Health and Human Services.

As a parting shot, what will be the apocalyptic consequences if the resilient "superbug" pathogens escape across the US borders and spread to the rest of the world one fine day? Think about that!
