All the O has to do is release money from the federal government. He's real good at that.

Not quite. Either way, does the partisanship never end? When the Republican governor of New Jersey who has campaigned extensively for Romney and spoke at the RNC says Obama's response was good, you have to think that there certainly was good action on the President's part.

Honestly, seeing Christy has somewhat restored my faith in the GOP, if he runs in 2016...I might shift my vote in his direction. It's a good sign going forward, I just hope it grows.

I think he might be my favorite person that is in office right now. I am not a fan of politicians in general, so it is rare when I like someone (especially nowadays). He is a strong leader and not afraid to do what he thinks is right despite the opposition. Not only that, but he seems to find a way to deliver his message and get the support he needs.

It is unfortunate...for many people...that his career in the GOP has probably ended.

God Forbid you Govern.

What makes you say that? I'd say hes prob the top guy for 2016 right now.

The GOP trend does not favor those in the party that seem moderate, let alone respect the Presidency. I see very little positive in Cristie acting like a Governor in such a climate.

The Republican sway does not allow for this type of compromise.

Who knows what they will decide to put forward in 2016....did you see the field this year?

I don't agree. Romney is the candidate after all. The extremes need to be catered to in the primaries, but in the general election, Romney had to move to the center for a chance to win.

But above that I think Christie might be unique. He has a way to resonate with people across the aisle and independents while still standing by what he believes in. Just look at the state he is in and what he has done there so far.

Romney IS NOT the GOP, in reality he is not much of anything anyone can put a finger on. I agree the process forces candidates to fluctuate, but the fluctuation should be gone the week before election.

Christie IS unique, in that he seems alike to the Republicans mindset 20 yrs. ago....back when things seemed to work, and I was in the party.

And yet he was picked by the system which was partially set up by the GOP (including the primaries which are all GOP). That being said, I think Christie certainly has a shot.

(and the GOP does like him- they wanted him to run, be VP, and when he said no to those [according to some sources] he spoke at the RNC)

Yes...they loved the guy, rightfully so considering the field. But as of today, they do not seem quite so keen on him....I suppose we shall see, but I will hope for the best.

I really think Christy has the maliability to be a fantastic president. He seemed to be real good at focusing on the people and to let go of partisan bs, as much as he could. I really think the American people like the back and forth to be honest.

some one who affirms my beliefs is way better than someone that properly governs. Now I don't agree with that statement but it seems to be the major reason people pick presidents.

Sad as it is the American people suffer from existential angst.
