Effect of Ted Kennedys passing on health care?

I know everybody's thought about this one war or another - so I may as well as say it.

Some Republicans are beginning to wonder if his death will influence any "sympathy votes" for the bill. While Kennedy was an icon for liberalism and a party elder, frankly it doesn't change the nature of the debate on health care at all.

We need smart change and not just for the sake of it.

I wish people would actually read the bill. Presuming Kennedy did and presuming he understood it, he'd probably have scoffed at it.

I noticed that in the news and I really thought that was political opportunism trying to capitalize on Kennedy's death. I thought that was rather in poor taste. :eek:
