America is ruled by 3 families (Kennedy, Bush, Clinton).
No, it's ruled by the constitution.

A democracy doesn't prevent anything,
Yes of course it doesn't. Hitler and Sadam Hussein were both democratically elected. Having a supreme law and a powerful citizenry prevents things.

A constitution that has seen 3 dictatorships, 1 of them genocidal.

There hasn't been any dictatorships. Not even FDR.

Sure, Jackson acting unilaterally with total disregard of the Judiciary and and Legislature, Lincoln outright suspending the Constitution, FDR flat out telling Congress he'd dissolve the intuition in his Inaugural Speech if they didn't play ball. Nope, not dictators at all. That they all had secret police and concentration camps isn't relevant either. Nope, they were American Presidents and so immune to any accusations of undemocratic behavior because America is 'Land of the Free' and 'Leader of the Free World'.

Castro's funeral jeep didn't work and neither does communism.

You really think things were better for the typical Cuban before? Lets remember that Cuba was a dictatorship BEFORE Fidel (who unlike his predecessor was actually elected mind you) ever came along. Modern Cuba is almost totally literate, attracts people from around the world for it's healthcare, has a higher life expectancy than the US, is richer than it was before and is as much a tourism industry was it did before the Revolution.

He was a tyrant but only an idiot would argue that Cuba is worse off now.
I agree.

On the other hand, if he had gotten his way, he would have started World War III during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.

I will never forget how scary it was back then.

Russia was Castro's version of Saddam's WMDs.

To my knowledge the Cuban missle crisis was 13 days long where we were expecting a nuclear bomb to drop on us at any moment kicking off mutually assured destruction.

That was never going to happen. Nobody at the thine knew that obviously but it was nothing but the Soviets (after asking nicely to no gain) telling us to get our nukes out of Turkey.

Hind sight is 20/20

The Soviets had nothing to worry about.
