So the Carolinas get slammed by Hurricane Florence and are still flooded, now she decided to come back and give them a new batch of moisture....I have never heard of this happening before.

It happens all the time actually. Ivan hit the US, died, regenerated and hit 2 the US 2 more times before giving the Canadians grief. Harvey fucked up the Caribbean, died, regenerated and fucked up Texas. Alberto hit the US as a subtropical system then regenerated over Tennessee. It's quite normal if annoying.

Yup...you are correct, guess I just never paid much attention. I stand corrected.
