With all the conspiracy theories associated with the Freemasons, the group has almost become synonymous with conspiracies. The organization is now trying to change public perception which it says is very off through studies and messages that insist they are an open, transparent organization.

I am pretty sure this is in response to declining recruitment numbers. Thoughts?

The few that I have known to be Freemasons must have not been concerned about recruitment. They never seemed to want to talk about it. I only know one that is still living now. I have known him since 1st grade. I have asked him about it a couple of times. He just grins, and says tell me what you know.:)

Lol, who knows? I don't buy into the big conspiracy theories though although I am sure they have their organizational secrets.

I will say I have never seen one of them broke. The ones I have known "seem" to always have some money and own property.

One that has passed (my 4th cousin) left two farms and a quarter of a million to his "care giver". The only way I know that is it was listed in the local paper when she paid the taxes.
