I doubt that "crafty Kim will walk away with his newfound status as a global statesman on par with the leader of a supposedly sole superpower". Maybe in the eyes of his own people, but not in the eyes of the rest of the world. He will be in charge a starving nation while he continues to get fat. Unless he decides to actually cooperate, he will be no better off.
