They were also men. I suppose you hate (for lack of a better word) all men as well? They also had dark hair. Hate all dark-haired people? They also wore shirts, pants, and shoes. Hate people who wear shirts, pants, and shoes?

With that logic, we should no have elected an man to the Presidency or anyone who wore clothes or had dark hair, etc. Carry that sentiment over to this election and no Rick Perry too I suppose

It isn't Muslims either. It was a group of politically motivated people (Al-queda) who just happened to be Muslim. They also happened to be humans.

1. Just because they misinterpreted their religion (arguably) does not mean the entire religion believes in or calls for what they are doing. There have been Christians who have murdered in the name of God too- doesn't mean all or even most Christians agreed with them.

2. If you actually look at the leaders of these groups, you will see that their goals are primarily political. They have even communicated these goals in their demands from America, etc. When it comes to Al Queda, one of their biggest problems with America is our base near Mecca. Osama Bin Laden was largely driven by that as well as our treatment of Afghanistan after we helped them fight the Soviets. The religious aspect comes in as a tool to gain support- to motivate that lost 20 year old to join the group and give his life for it. Robert Pape wrote an excellent paper on this topic a few years ago.
