Google's book plan- revolutionary or theft?

In an ongoing class action lawsuit between a group of authors and Google, Federal Judge Danny Chin has yet to make a decision. The case involves Google's play to digitize thousands of out-of-publish books online for free, but some authors and copyright groups are claiming that it breaks their rights.

Any thoughts?

It really depends on each book and where it currently falls under copyright and property rights laws.

there is law on the books addressing the issue

if the works have not made it into the public domain then some one has the right to the work and Google should pay to reprint it
