Guns and such

this makes me snicker:

CNN Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com

I'm not a gun nut, but I think, like it or not, guns are a part of our culture. other cultures have trouble grasping it but it is a part of what makes us who we are. maybe it stems back to the revolutionary war, and civil war. whatever the case you are not going to politic it away.

obama and biden learned this the hard way by the sick photo ops with sandy hook families. it made gun sales go through the roofs. we inherently are distrustful of our government. its why we came here in the first place.

(p.s. this is my thought provoking thread of the week.:giggle:)

It's a constitutional right. To take it away would be to piss all over the law of the land.

some regulations are just an effort to gradually ban a thing . those in power know that if they fought to ban firearms outright there would be an uproar. so their approach is slowly and deliberately regulate it out of existence.

in parts of Texas they have borrowed a page from the democrats handbook and have tried this with abortion clinics. mandating regulation that will all but make it impossible to comply.

so? This is a discuss about guns not vehicles

Your point was based on the 2nd Amendment. Read it, the word gun never appears, the word arms does however. All weapons (including takes) are relevant in answering your point.

Yup my understand it's not illegal to own a tank. It's just not legal to operate them on public road ways or use them in crimes.

It's just a truck.

It'd been made road legal, treads replaced with tires, signal lights and a license plate a normal tank otherwise. Not an Abrams mind, looked like something from WW2 or Korea.

I remember when I was younger and living in San Diego....some hut job stealing a tank and driving it all over town, crushing cars and such. I think he was killed by CHP on the freeway.

It's mostly equipment from Vietnam. My friend's uncle has a Patton tank from Vietnam. He didn't put tires in it and it has no signal lights. But he bought it legally. The canon mech still works but you can't really find ammo for it, on top of that it's really expensive.

that is pretty much what it looks like. But it's a 50 year old truck. It doesn't run so well.
