Has the United States gone through a lost decade?

Here is an interesting graph I just ran across by the Washington Post:

Both GDP and household net worth went down over the past ten years, which is in stark contrast to the few decades before this one. Thoughts?

I would have to go against the idea that the United States were the only country to go through a lost decade. Aside from China, I would say mostly all countries went through a lost decade. Heck, Japan says that they went through 20 years of loss! Honestly, when the US goes through such a drop, the world's going to feel it somewhat too and that kind of explain's Japan's situation.

Agreed! I have already started gathering my survival gear. deep cycle batteries, inverters,Ammo and food.

Still, I would say compared with the last big World War, we seem to be living in unprecedented peace times. Relatively spoken of course. As none of it is perfect. Things have become more uncertain however, as no one knows whether their pension is going to be worth anything when they retire one day. Dodge has a great idea. Stockpiling food and basics such as batteries are excellent ideas.

2016 to 2020 will go down as the lost years. Only lately are we seeing the light now that the orange obstruction has been removed.

I would say at this point we have not only lost a decade but seems to be going back to another one.
