Hello, I'm Elmer Gantry.

I've been around political forums for many years. I'm politically independent and more interested in finding solutions than adhering to partisan talking points. I live in Michigan and I've been politically active for over 40 years.

I'm glad I found this forum...thank you....Elmer

Welcome aboard! I am no fan of the political talking points either and we're trying to create a culture here that stays away from that (or at least away from the flaming that often comes with such talking points on online forums). So far it is looking pretty good. :)

Hey Elmer, I got all the solutions we need. But, the real issue is hot to make the patient swallow the medicine. Hey, how about those black-robed tyrants throwing out the voter-approved Michigan Constitutional Amendment banning racial discrimination by the state colleges?

(Wait, is that wrong-way Tecoyah I hear calling me racist? :p )

The NYT reported, "The ban, the court said, unfairly placed a special burden on supporters of race-conscious admissions policies. People trying to change any other aspect of university admissions policies, the court said, had several avenues open..." Liberals are such bungholes, heh?

The public should pay more attention to the reasoning of liberal judges. The court majority's reasoning is that the people's decision not to have public colleges practice racial discrimination in admissions violates the right of the people to have the government racially discriminate [against white people].

You can't make up the insane and hateful thinking process of liberals. But, dipsh!t neocons on talk radio and Fox News are more interested in a futile effort to turn Benghazi into Watergate.

Well, well, well, a conservative who knows Benghazi isn't some unforgivable scandal.
