Didn't she already say she was stepping down? John Kerry was one of the favorites for the position I believe.

I thought I read she may step down but hasn't. She is still SOS so I figure this gives everybody an easy out.

I don't think that she should continue as SOS. She has done a brilliant job but the stress of the job is beginning to prove detrimental to her health. Both she and her husband have given much to the country an I think that they should enjoy the rest of their lives in peace.

I don't know about brilliant job she changed her stance quite a few times to fall in line with the administration. I don't like people who do that.

Isn't that the Job of the SOS?

To enact the administration foreign policy?

Unless those policies result in the death of our Ambassador and his staff and get our embassy torched and the US embarrassed on the world stage.

That doesn't reflect on Obama or his Administration at all.

So it is the Job of the SOS to completely drop their prior position on a issue or problem and just to look good take the position of Obama. I find that hypocritical don't you.

It is their job to give recommendations to the President and yes enact them. Though if it goes against what you believe you should at least let him know and make your position be known. Not cave and take up the position you are told too. That is the problem with our government no one has a back bone.

Hillary announced a good while ago that she would not serve in a second term, if Obama won. By now you know that John Kerry has been nominated for Secretary of State. Hillary will rest up, revive herself and get ready to run in 2016. She is the front runner for the Democratic nomination. But she may face Joe Biden for the position. He is showing a few of his cards. Add the fact that Bill wants a third term. It all should be very interesting.

Though I wonder how much damage she has done if people remember. Though during election things such as a change on one stance always find a way to pop up.
