Maybe you've seen the commercial. Apparently 12 million people have seen it and buy it. Can you believe this nonsense? If you check out their website they are having presidential elections for post apocalyptic earth.

The whole concept is just ridiculous. It's almost infuriating that so many people can be so foolish.

It does make me think, though, that in the event of "apocalypse", the world would be better off without humans to screw it up.

It's just viral advertising for 2012. It's a movie coming out from that guy who made The Day After Tomorrow. A good bit of the people probably registered for fun, or the contest, or something. Also could be the website lying as a joke for viral advertising. They ran commercials for awhile, so a good bit was also curiosity.

There are many of these Websites around. I would imagine quite a number are joining for some fun. Perhaps a much smaller percentage take it very seriously.

Yea its nothing to get worked up over people the site isn't real and doesn't serve and purpose for organizing or anything on 2012.
