In general, I do not approve of monkeying around with Nature, since humans are too ignorant and badly motivated to know what they are doing, and too ready to act before they have gathered sufficient knowledge and understanding.
But in some cases, I think it might be worth the risk to interfere. For example, if one could develop a technique to break down Americans' brainwashing and resistance to education, I say, "Full steam ahead!!"
