Is Kelly on the way out?

The military has positioned itself for a coup. Since the Judiciary survived Trump's power grab, they're holding off in case Trump's budding dictatorship is nipped by what's left of the Federal government. Thing is those generals ready to impose a transitional junta are getting squeamish wallowing in the muck waiting for Muller to depose Trump or fail.

I find it likely that Kelly has wanted out since getting in. He is probably awaiting the right time and being pleaded with not to.

The military/ Intelligence Community used Trump's faux patriotism to gain political power in the Executive so that they could seamlessly take over when they got rid of Trump. Since the coup didn't actually happen they're all stuck having their reputations ruined. Yet at the same time leaving means their coup, if it happens, goes from seamless and bloodless to bloody and chaotic. A tight spot to be in.

What they're doing is hilariously obvious yet Trump is totally oblivious.
