Being a retiree, I have heard many fellow retiree's render a similar comment to that of LTC Peter's.

But remember that Julian Assange did NOT steal the information, nor is he a US Citizen who owes an allegiance to the United States.

Specialist Manning is the key to this disclosure.

Another issue, even more grave, is the debate on the freedom of the INTERNET. You know that we (the US) have criticized other nations for hampering the INTERNET in the name of internal security.

Most people will not see these issues for what they are; or comprehend there importance. They will not see the similarity to previous disclosures. But in that, there are the roles of the people and media.
