I it quite aggravating when it is time to switch cell phones. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 times order phones that FINALLY work on the network. Last time I switched phones, I ordered an unlocked GSM phone. I spent about an hour with technical support at my carrier, and they gave up saying that I need a phone with dual SIMs. I return the non-usable phone & ordered one with dual SIM card slots - it worked!

This time I ordered a GSM phone right off the bat with dual SIM. I went step-by-step with technical support entering all the correct parameters, It still didn't work! The tech support guy said sometimes certain phones simply do not work on their system.

So I ordered yet another phone, but beforehand I asked my carrier if the particular make & model I am considering WILL work w/their system. They said that they "heard of that phone working, so it probably will work". So I'm keeping my finger crossed.

BTW: The battery in the current old phone of mine I'm using has a kind of BULGING battery. Hopefully it doesn't EXPLODE before I get new phone!
