As early as it is a lot of big names have been floated so I feel safe making a broad prediction. Based on the people that have stated they are seriously considering a run, these are my predictions for the most likely nominees or both major parties. In no order:

Repubs:
Huckabee
Romney
Christi
Ryan Paul

Dems:
Clinton
Warren
Sanders (Not a Dem but he'd change his party affiliation for the duration of the race to run.)

No doubt I'll have to add a name or 2 as more people throw there names into the hat.

No doubt republicans will at least attempt to run Christi. Not so sure we will see Romney again.

You really think the dems will run Clinton again?

Romney had a good showing in the '08 primary and was the nominee in '12. and the men he lost to in each election are done in national politics and termed out respectively. He's a viable candidate.

And Clinton not trying to 1 up her husband? :giggle: Ya, that'll happen. She's got an ego that would cast a shadow on Mt. Everest.

Christie probably gives Republicans the best shot, but the party hardliners are still too hard-headed to elect him as their nominee. Hope I am wrong about that though.

And I can definitely see Clinton as top dog as of now with the Dems, but not much has been said about who would run next time.

Gov. Scott Walker would be an awesome President!!! :smug:

We should ALWAYS vote for governors, because they have actual executive experience!!!

(the one bad apple was Jimmy Carter)

Most clueless voters are oblivious to this notion (unfortunately).

Walker is a 1 state wonder. Unless he can shed his anti-labor image, he'd flop nationally.

LOL!!! The truth is, he is pro-labor, anti-union. You confuse the two. His policies help labor big time, while union policies hurt it very much.

The "investigations are just "red herrings". About as pointless as a looking into civil rights violations in the George Zimmerman case.

A pro-labor, anti-union person (like myself) would have busted the unions while making it easier for workers to petition for raises and benefits independently. he went straight up robber baron on state workers though. Even if he hadn't, he still has the anti-labor image deserved or not.

You have to distinguish between public & private unions. Many politicians treat them very differently.

You don't HAVE to distinguish, people just chose to do so. As someone who advocates for worker ownership, I'm anti-union across the board. i'm no union buster though, my position isn't hatred for unions but rather I think they're inefficient.
