Wow what an interesting turn of events for the NYSE. I wonder if the regulators will find anything wrong with I doubt it though.

Not completely unexpected, but interesting. More than anything the cultural impact (if any) it might have will be interesting to see.

Yeah it will be an interesting story to continue to follow. Though it makes on wonder if it is the economic times that are dictating this merger so to speak.

I'd say no. Exchanges have come under a lot of competition. This is just the market adapting. Culturally though, it could have more significance just in how people perceive this and how the new management might change things.

Well I know because of all the talk NYSE stock went up while ICE stock went down but only a little. Though ICE stock is higher then NYSE. It should be an interesting sale to watch that is for sure.
