If apartment complexes were smart, they would ban dogs and smoking. Maybe there could be some complexes that allow these and others that don't, but to have all complexes allowing these, is a lot less than ideal.
But living in an apt. building or complex is a privilege, not a right. The word "right" is thrown around way to often when it simply does not apply.
Our "rights" are few & basic. :smug:
I see the opposite; now a huge number of people think they have a "right" to an Obamaphone.![]()
.
Was not cell phone; was one-way, emergency use only landline.

I agree living there is a privilege, I never said it wasn't. But as long as you are living there the dwelling is your home. You have the right to defend your home.
No...unless you own it, it is called your apartment/condo/campsite.
The actual owner makes the rules....and thus gets to decide on the contract you must sign.
Well the dwelling is owned by the person paying rent. What do you think you pay rent for. It really depends on the state in my state no apartment complex can forbid you from owning a gun and keeping it in your apartment.
You do pay property taxes on it, it's normally included in the rent. You are terribly incorrect, regardless of individual state decisions.
Unless you pay the property taxes on a building.....you do not own it.
You pay rent to a person referred to as a "Landlord"...who is the "lord" of this "Land".
