Obama Congressional Pay Increase blocked.

Really the entire country is struggling to make ends meet so you solve this by increasing your pay. I have to give applaud John Barrow for his stand.

I say they get paid for performance....which means they pay US.

I say they get part time pay because they get more vacations then I every did. Though I like your idea better.

All lawmakers should be part-time workers and have a career back home. Why should these guys, who create most of the troubles we're in, get a hefty paycheck, a pension, perks and job security (if you're an incumbent)? A politician is not a deity and is not Santa Claus and should be remunerated as one.

Oh I think they should be paid but with a salary average to the working class middle-class american. They work but part-time anyway and get paid more then most of make in 3 or 4 years.

Their pay from the Federal government doesn't matter. The special interest $, speaking opportunities, and after-office work easily makes up for it. Their Federal pay could be $0 and I don't think we'd see a drop in people running for election.
