Obama's reshaped economic team

What are everyone's thoughts on President Obama's almost made-over economic team? Jack Law, from Clinton's administration, was made head of the Office of Management and Budget last year, Larry Summers left, and now Gene Sperling, another ex-Clinton man, takes Summers' spot. The move has some supply-siders (Kudlow in particular has been extremely happy on his show) remembering the Reagan years as they applaud the president's moves.

I think Obama knows he has to move more to the right to be reelected. His thinking is the same, but he will throw anyone under the bus to win. Don't know what he would have done without the Clinton's and their old list of friends.

Obama is certainly a smart man- this switchover probably gives him the best chance at snagging some of the independents and maybe even conservatives in 2012. It will be interesting to see where all the old Reaganites and Clinton people will fall after this move. It will likely depend on what the team does goes forward as well as how Congress fairs with what could be a very conflicted group.

I sometimes also wonder whether the hardcore Obama base might be turned off by this move or whether most of them will just brush it off.
