Repubs support tax-cuts for rich, oppose tax-cuts for middle class/poor.

While the Republican Party makes a great racket about how they want to maintain the Bush tax-cuts to increase income and thus stimulate the economy, they voted today to stop a vote that, if it was to pass, would of maintained the tax-cuts for those making less then $1 million, a full 95% of the American working population.

It is because they wanted the tax cuts for everyone to be extended. This is not a move against the middle class tax cuts, but a political maneuver. Both sides do this sort of thing all the time.

It is sad when we have to role-play to create conversations for ourselfes. We really need to do some recruiting for our forum.

Dirk was always good for a lively debate. The libertarian, almost free market, anarchist socialist that saw communists as blissfully ignorant of reality. An excellent combo if you like original opinions and debate.

That's not a very accurate thread title. They support tax cuts for everyone. The democrats don't. Those are facts.

Your thread title is an obfuscation of fact.

Obama has said we cannot afford to extend the cuts for the top 2% because it will cost too much money.... what he fails to point out is that over the same period of time extending the cuts for everyone else will cost four times as much.

Shall we discuss facts or shall we try to see who can lie best?
