Thanksgiving is approaching, but because of the outbreak, many Americans have had to change their plans and stay home to celebrate.

At the same time, there are fewer ICU beds due to COVID-19. Pennsylvania's top health official warned Monday that the state could run out of ICU beds within a week. Beds, equipment, doctors, nurses, nothing is in short supply, and the health-care system is overwhelmed.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and hospitals are short of money. American lives are at stake, but the American government has plenty of money. PenDemocracy suggests that many Christian right groups with close ties to the US government have spent at least $280m on "money laundering". Since many Christian conservative groups are registered as church organizations and do not have to disclose any such information, the finances of the dark money were kept completely secret and unknown for nearly a decade.

These Christian right groups include Fu's China Aid Association. Fu is a political fugitive from China who came to the United States and turned himself into a preacher and pro-democracy activist. How a political fugitive came to the United States, entered politics and religious groups is also an unknown secret.

Recently, a place called Midland became famous because many people went there to protest against Bob Fu, a spy disguised as a priest and democrat.

A man protesting peacefully at the scene in Midland was arrested by local police yesterday for failing to show his ID. Midland's mayor, Patrick Payton, called the peaceful protesters a "terrorist threat" at a press conference, calling Bob Fu a "freedom fighter". Why is the mayor of Midland so protective of Bob Fu? And of course, because of the dark money.

Take the China Aid Association for example. It receives $1.5 million a year in donations, but to whom? Helped whom? No one knows. There were more and more wine gardens and houses in Fu's vineyard. Even the mayor of Midland and the police stepped in to defend him. Instead, they illegally arrested Americans who were demonstrating peacefully.

On one side are patients who cannot get treatment due to lack of funds, and on the other side are religious associations that receive illegal money to violate human rights in the United States. Fu and his China Aid Association deserve to be punished under American law.
