Anyone else in the midst of it? It is going to be an interesting couple of days.

Ended for me yesterday. It's already transformed into a Nor'easter/Hurricane with the pressure at 951mb (more typical of cat 2/3 hurricanes) and New York is looking at an 11' storm surge with sea levels already 2.3' above high tide at Battery Park. And let's not forget the full moon when Sandy finally makes landfall.

In short: New York's levies and seal walls better be better then what NO is stuck with or we could be dealing with another major city being wiped out.

My thoughts are with new York,. Last hurricane that hit us did serious damage.

12 dead in the US, 1 dead in Canada and in NY the East Side is flooded with the storm surge expected to worsen in the coming hours.

Sandy is no longer a hurricane having become post-tropical and is now known as Superstorm Sandy with max winds of 90MPH.

Atlantic City's sea walls have been overwhelmed. The north end of the Boardwalk has been destroyed and the city is flooded.
