He worries about his "legacy". Well now he has one. One that I would be ashamed to have. I don't know why he did what he did. Maybe he was paid off in some way, or felt threatened about something. I hope he feels the love from this chicken-excrement move for a long time.

Nah I'm still going to give the constitutional scholar the benefit of the doubt that he knows more about this than I do and he followed his interpretation of it. As for the legacy, you see it as bad, those that support it see it as brilliant- just as with any other close debate.

I just saw Roberts old law professor on TV. Professor Tribe. Now I now where Roberts got his strange way of thinking. His old professor could just as well been named Axlerod. That is the price we pay for having so many old hippies teaching our young for so many years.

Rightttt it is all a conspiracy. (that was sarcastic)
Just like if you go to a Ford dealer for a new car. Good chance you will be sold a Ford. If you send your children to an old hippie type for an education they will probably lean to the left. Not a conspiracy, it should be expected.
Not being sarcastic at all. Some of them lean so far to one side they could be in a V-8 commercial.;)

What "old hippie" did Roberts go to? This whole business of liberal or conservative conspiracy is silly. That is not how academia or the ideas of intellectualism operate.

Also, why are you only questioning Roberts and the 4 that upheld the mandate as tax and not the other 4? No one as far as I know said they are being judicial activists here. They all are far more qualified than you or I here. Given those two things, it is just as likely that the 4 who voted no were acting as you think Roberts acted. The more likely scenario, the one I believe, is they acted out of good faith and interpreted the Constitution as what they thought it meant.

Professor Tribe! He was singing the same tune I heard from hippies in the 60s. Believe it or not I know some old hippies. Went to school with a few from 1st grade for years. Some never left school. Some were still "students" in their 30s. some left school when the draft ended. (which was why they stayed students) Then they decided to teach! From 5 years old until retirement school has been their life. No outside experience.

I think they all had an agenda. Eight of them truly believe in what they did. One wanted to make a big mark on his legacy. His is the only vote I have a problem with. He worked hard to save BO on this one. Calling it a tax even when BO says it is not and never was. So Roberts had to stretch to give BO a leg up. I think Roberts is worse than any of them.

But there will always be sheeple that will say "oh well they know what is best for everyone".

Statistically such a conspiracy theory is highly unlikely. It also doesn't explain why any of the other 8 voted the way they did either.

As I said, I don't really care why the other 8 voted as they did. I think they actually voted how they felt. It was chief legacy that grinds my gears. And the country may be stuck with him for another 30 years unless fate steps in.
