They have the right to make whatever statement they wish...free country and all. We have the right to do so as well.

My statement is that they are not a Church, they are a hate group.

You are quite correct that is your right. Though I believe you are talking about taking their right to worship God away from them. How they worship is different from what they speak.

My point is that you take there right to worship however stupid they spew out inside that church, you will set a precedent that could be done to other people in all religions who worship.

Don't think I am disagreeing with you on them being a hateful group they are no doubt about it. Yet how I read what is being said is you are willing to take away their right to worship and call themselves a church which I do disagree with.

I am not recommending a removal of the right to worship...and never will. I am recommending the removal of tax exemption, Church status, and anything else that it entails.

They seem no better than the KKK to me, and do not deserve to be treated well.

I understand again though you do that you will set a precedent for it to happen to other religions that do not spew hate like they do. Like in previous statements I have made it is a slippery slope.

I whole heartedly agree with the OP. They do not represent the teachings of Christianity--or any religions for that matter. Not even the crusades were as fierce as WBC's "battle" against gays. Who has the gall to protest at a soldier's funeral much less at the funerals of murdered children. I signed the White House petition to label WBC as a hate group and over 300k people have done the same.

Again who are we to decide who is right and who is wrong in how they worship God?

Though they are a bunch of morons so to speak they have the same rights allotted to them as everyone else. If they so choose to believe God is punishing us by killing people that is their right.

Yet again protesting a funeral and Worshipping are two different things. Though I don't agree with what they do if those rights are stripped from them, you then open the door for any religion to have those rights stripped from them.
