So what is the real truth about the American spokesman for El Qaeda?

The recent news release about an El Qaeda person of American descent had me completely intrigued yesterday. Al-Qaida's American-born spokesman on Sunday called on Muslims serving in the U.S. armed forces to emulate the Army major charged with killing 13 people in Fort Hood. He is 31 years old. Something did not look right in the announcement (refer his show below).

Today it would seem that we are getting closer to the truth, which is that Pakistan is very keen to prove to the United States that it is serious in catching El Qaeda officials. What mystified me, is that we first got news releases about the announcements of this "spokesman", then he gets apprehended, and today we learn that he may not be the official spokesman for El Qaeda (refer article in YahooNews!). All I can wonder is who bungled in this? Who is this person (below)? How can the media accept unverified information like this? And now I can't help but wonder how much other misinformation we are being fed on a daily basis?

Thanks for the correction. Can you comment further, what is your opinion about the persecution of someone who was allegedly a spokesman for AL Qaeda?
