If I believed every conspiracy story out there I would hide underground and eat worms. Everything in life just can't be some big "conspiracy". Or can it? Are we really here? Maybe not!

There are so many proofs available out on the net which suggests that America didnt step first on the moon and it was just 'STAGED' on the famous Area51..
People believe that in order to win a psychological battle over the Russians, it was staged..
The proofs vary from the intensity of light to the formation of shadows of the astronauts..
That's just a myth. Mythbusters showed that the lighting was just as one would expect it to be.

Besides, someone would have talked. If they couldn't keep Watergate secret, then they definitely couldn't have hidden something this big.

I was hardly a government agent. I worked for an aerospace company on duplicate programming for the navigation computer and did some processing of telecom trajectory data.

I only had a secret clearance, which is nothing. You really can't be a government agent with a clearance that low.

My dad had a top secret clearance in the Navy. They not only checked him out, but x-wife and all the past and present in-laws.:D

Yeah, they do check out top secret. My ex-husband had one, and one of my friends had to get one a few years ago. A secret was nothing.

I also believe in the Hoax theory for one reason... if we've been too the Moon, why hasn't there been other voyages to it? I mean we're explorers and we like to chart everything we get out little hands on. So you'd think there'd be more expeditions out on the moon.

However, there isn't any proof that we haven't been to the moon, and there is plenty of proof that we have. It could all just be a "Ha-ha, fooled ya" proof, but for the moment it's all we got. I'd like to think we have been to the moon, because it says something about mankind... If it's true then we should have no problems making some colonies later, right?

I would imaging this is because there is nothing valuable on the moon. It would take a massive amount of money to go there just to chart it. We may be explorers, but we're also greedy and if there isn't money in it or some other benefit, it's not likely that we'll go just for fun... at least not when the costs are so huge.

You can bet had there been oil there we would still be there!:D

Hahah, or diamonds, gold etc.

But really, there is untapped oil on earth that is still considered unfeasible to tap because of the costs. Even if there was valuable minerals or oil on the moon, it would still likely cost more to transport back and forth.

It would however make living on the moon more feasible if there were materials there already.

Edit in response to DodgeFB's above post: damn, you're right. Water... and more importantly Arby's! Although I'm sure we could build a fully sustainable living environment.

We did go multiple times. Do you think the space station is a hoax, too? And the communication satellites. The Russians are doing studies for a trip to Mars. If we hadn't already been to the moon, why would they be headed for Mars.

Even if there were oil on the moon, it would be a real bitch getting it back here.

They need to keep working on that "transporter". That would take care of many of the problems.
