Moscow underwent suicide terrorist attacks during rush hour Monday carried out two women from the North Caucasus region of the country (according to preliminary investigations.) The attacks come as a bit of wake up call to the Kremlin, which has been very confident with its anti-terrorist actions. It will also open eyes in other major cities that sport large subway systems, such as New York.

This is just one more bit of proof of the violent nature or religious extremism. In this case it appears to be the peace loving religion of Islam as the culprit. Once again we are faced with overwhalming evidence that the Islamic extreme, is more mainstream then not.

Oh, bloody hell. More fuel for sectarian hatred, more "justification" for the horrendous oppression of Chechnyans. AGAIN!

Wasn't there enough in the bloody nineties?

Chechnya has shed a lot of blood over the past 2 decades. I don't know many details of the conflict between them and Russia. If you have some good articles on the topic I would like you to send them to me so that I can read up on it. Thanks.:help:

Really sad what happened. I don't want to be an Islamist right now when the Russia security forces have to be more than boiling mad and probably rounding up anyone that is even closely related to being Islamist. Greatest irony for me is that the first blast went of directly beneath the Federal Security Service. That has to be the taunting equivalent of a red flag to a bull.

Interestingly, at about the same time, the FBI nailed 9 Christian extremists. They have been charged with sedition.

Crazy nut jobs hitting the news at the same time. Counteract each other. :p

Has to be an amazing mind that notices the parallel. You may have a good point in comparing the Chechen rebels with Christian extremists. Just as well the Pentagon does not have an underground train just below it.

No, but it has a highway. Set off a large truck bomb at the on/off ramp and you'll kill traffic and cause a scare at the Pentagon.
