All I see is anecdotal complaints of how the President takes too many vacations, rubs elbows with fat cats, etc. Give me some actual data or examples that show that "normal critics" are letting this more things slide by with this President than others. And if you don't have such evidence- then this is nothing more than biased anecdotes. And frankly, that means nothing.
If that's all you see, you're not seeing the "actual data", vacations and who he associates with slides by, the actual data involves so many more critical to our country and national security issues.
"Normal Critics" in the 2008 election, considered the prison at Gitmo to be the primary eyesore defining American policies abroad. In 2012, it wasn't an issue. "Normal Critics" in the 2008 election, considered violations of sovereign airspace, Special Ops missions, drone programs, and military surges followed by occupation and nation building polices to be impeachable offenses. In 2012 elections, these policies weren't an issue. "Normal Critics" in the 2008 election, considered debt extensions unpatriotic, were outraged by words like earmarks and pet projects. In 2012, these weren't an issue.
I think the actual data concerning Benghazi proves the "Normal Critics" lat that slide. The President out there weeks later using some video to explain away gross incompetence, that utter disaster didn't cost him either.
He's seldom held accountable for any reality as far as I can see.
So, lets just give him thanks and praise. Thanks for his efforts following Sandy, praise for being so standard.
He may be shown appreciation based on the response if only because it was relatively good in comparison to what occurred in the Katrina disaster. Likely what you see as praise is simply the lack of accurate criticism.
This President seems to have a popularity based on several factors, from his race to his policies. But he most certainly deals with a powerful lack of popularity as well if not a disrespect, for many or the same reasons.
The burden is on the conspiracy theorist to prove his conspiracy. Again, show me hard data and not just what you think was a shift in criticism.
Frankly, I think everyone is too high-ho on politicians in general. It is more about the system and incentives than it is about actual politicians most of the time. But that isn't glamorous to the media or many folk who just like a simple black v. white narrative.
This isn't necessary just because you're unable to respond reasonably. My points remain, unchallenged.
It was a photo op. Easily seen for what it was and you believe he should be thanked for it. I find that very odd.
His popularity soars at 55%+, he was just re-elected and it wasn't close......I don't see this "powerful lack of popularity" you make up here, I also see his circus clown antics and policies as abysmal failures.
