My real name is Christina, and yesterday I joined Political Fray. So far I've posted nine times, and I'm really enjoying myself. I actually stumbled here on accident. I believe I was looking for Anne Frank information and found a Thread discussing Diary editing. This was a topic I knew very well and I desperately wanted to respond to it. As a result I ended up joining, thus starting my thread addiction.
Previously I had attempted to start intelligent conversations at other locations like deviantArt and MySpace, however the responses I would get would either be one-lines or noncommittal statements. That only would respond if I make a joke or placed interesting pictures up. Even my best friend would only respond if it were something sexual.
So being here, having something actually important to talk about and to have friendly discussions is something I've been looking for a long time. I hope we all get along and I hope that through this process we can become good friends.

This forum is meant to be one for intelligent discussion and debate, as opposed to places like you mentioned where many people don't really care enough to talk about what's important. The forum is still fairly new and we are still working on promoting it, but hopefully one day we will have a thriving community of intelligent thinkers such as yourself.
