No it isn't. For the last 80 years, people have become used to a big role for government, especially in those aspects where they can understand what seems to be a direct benefit to themselves. Opposing all those things would just keep one from being elected. You get elected and change what you can.
I thought you don't compromise with "the liberals" on the issues and you support people with "conservative policies" and not RINOs. You realize that you are making an argument for "RINOs" if the US voting population is really as liberal as you make it out to be right?

I don't see much chance of a conservative or a RINO being elected. The dumb-asses are destroying any chance of getting Obama out. And it is our own damn fault.

Taking account, from the standpoint of realpolitik, that popular big long-existing government programs like social security, medicare, and the GSEs can only be changed gradually, is light years away from the RINO mentality - go along with the libs on everything from the illegal alien invasion to abortion, so that you can stay in washington and get invited to georgetown parties. :rolleyes:
