First up, America seldom helps other countries unless it has a vested interest in doing so. It is no secret that the CIA has toppled legitimate democratic governments, particularly in South America in the past.

Yes, it may help some countries in terms of supplying foreign aid, but even there, the US contribution pales in comparison to that of other nations such as Norway and Sweden.

Unfortunately you have made me the devil's advocate here. I don't want to dump on the USA. Its a great country with many notable and commendable attributes. Selflessness, however, is not one of them.

i understand that america has motives in the reasons it does something. That does not mean the kindnesses done in the act of helping no matter why the act was acomplished should still be reconized. And we start wars with countrie because we are the world police and we make mistakes ecspecially when we are mad because someone just attacked us on our own turf. We should not make decisions such as this one out of anger but we could not do something we couldnt sit on our ass's and take it what does that say about us as a people

Iraq never attacked the US on its own turf. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Zilch. Zero. Saddam woke up one morning and turned on the news like everyone else and discovered what happened just like everyone else.

Hopefully you wake up and hold the GOP accountability for this come election time.
