trayvon Martin had to die at the hands of Geo. Zimmerman to show the world how inadequate protection, local law enforcement provides the citizens of this country.

What better way to demonstrate the huge crime rate we face and the inability for government to protect its citizens from it ,than to have an out of control situation to take place causing an avoidable death.

Why do we need neighborhood WATCH vigilantes? Why can't the cops protect us? Martin was a sacrifice.

I'm saying it so the world can see what a terrible job the cops are doing to protect us. if the cops were out and patrolling this would not have happened . and it was sad that it did!!

you don't need a police state or anything close to one to expect a certain amount of protection to use the streets, the parks , and the downtown shopping centers without fear. we don't have that in the usa. and that's the issue about martin and geo. zimmm.

All police and sheriff depts are reactive when they should be proactive. if they need to yellow tape an entire inner city district then so be it.

So how much of an increase in your taxes do you want to put a cop on every street corner? Or is it outside every door?

We only have George's word on the nature of events. It's entirely possible Martin was defending his life against a man followed then grabbed him.

If a stranger follows you, shows the gun at their side and then pushes or grabs you, what would be your reaction? I'd fight back to defend my life.

Something Auf doesn't seem to understand. He's taking Zimmerman's word as gospel without any corroboration yet he has no problem declaring a dead teenager to be an irresponsible "thug".
