And, therein lies the initial instance of the corruption and deceit underlying our "New America" under this uniquely bizarre Presidency. Fortunately our system has built in prevention measures to limit the damage to relatively short timeframes and influence. Though it is likely to take decades to repair the damage to institutional systems and international reputation, the United States will survive this and our Constitution be amended to eliminate possible repeat of this event.
