I don't condone what Vick did at all and it is horrible that it happened, but he does seem sorry for it and people do make mistakes. It is easy to vilify him for what he did, but one must remember that where he grew up and what he saw during his childhood made dog-fighting look not so bad. It doesn't mean what he did was right, but it also doesn't mean he should be killed for it.

On a side note, how does Carlson feel about people who eat meat?

I think Vick should still be in prison. As for him being sorry, does he not have many reasons to "appear" sorry? I don't buy it. In my opinion he should never own any kind of pet as long as he lives.

As for being raised that way. I grew up on a farm. I have killed many animals. Yes even dogs that got into our cattle. But I never tortured any animal. Shocking and hanging dogs that did not win was even more sick than the dog fights. Torture of anything requires a lack of something that most people have.

They should be bunkmates in prison.
