From the link, "Shortly after the FBI named Dr. Ivins as the culprit, his lawyer said the government fingered the wrong man and had a "staggering lack of real evidence."

That is very common in cases where there is a high political dividend to closing a file, especially with a deceased accused who doesn't matter any more. Just one more conspiracy whose answers will never be known.

What an enormous waste of money and resources this must have been to investigate. 2700 pages and on top of everything this guy commited suicide in 2008. Or was it because he did, that he became a suspect. Great however that it at least proved that Steven Hatfill was not the culprit.
