guys, we all have a vague scene in our eyes that there is a heaven up on the 7th sky.. where all the good ones will go... but my question is.. God created it all.. so when at the begining there was no sky *(as it is all created by GOD).. so obviously there was no heaven, then where did all those good ones had to go that time??
Heaven is not a place, but rather a state of being (as is Hell). Angels and spirits are non-corporeal beings: They do not exist in the physical realm. They occupy neither space nor consist of any matter.
Therefore the state they exist in also is not a "place": It has no physiocal location.
I highly recommend the book "Theology and Sanity" by Frank Sheed. He gives an excellent treatise on this subject, and others too.
That if our name is written in heaven we will be delivered, we do not rejoice that the spirits submit to us, but we rejoice that our names are written in heaven, we are fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. What a Blessing and Honor from the Lord! For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
