A battle we shouldn't have won. As it was, a lost squadron that had chased a decoy found it's way back to the battle just as the Japanese fighters/bombers were giving the coup d'etat and had their way with their thus undefended carriers. 1 of the more unorthodox victories in American history.
The failure of the 3rd Crusade is another battle I find funny as King Richard pulled away from Jerusalem and fled all the way back to Aquitaine mistaking Saladin's ongoing evacuation of the city for pre-battle maneuvers. Not sure there was any other time in history a routed army won a war. :giggle:
