Zionism, Pros and Cons

Once again, ran out of space.

And still left us curious what point you are trying to convey.

Let me guess, rich Jews control the media and exert covert influence on enough of the lever of power in enough states (most importantly the US) in order to ensure that their agenda is carried out by others so no one suspects them.

Further, all of this is supported by evil passages from the Bible (never mind that the commandment to wipe out the canaanites was given to people of a bronze age society.. and never mind that the people that were to be erradicated were not necessarily a bunch of friendly cats)

The Bible is pretty up front about the bloodshed, rape, murder, and kinda other deplorable crap people were doing... people who believed in God were doing this. Interestingly enough, belief in God does not transform one into an angel.

Also worth noting is that modern Jews don't follow the Torah precepts regarding stonings, killing off all the Canaanites, and so on. Muslims are still following, in many cases, the worst precepts in their book. The comparison fails without much examination, Ignoramus.

In addition, most of the rich, media-controlling Jews in the States very much oppose Zionism these days, hence the constant propaganda in favor of two states, and the unending depiction of starving Gazaans, coupled with editorial attacks on oppressive Jews.

Do you keep a room full of straw or do you have it shipped in? It must take a lot to build all of those strawmen.
Don’t recall making such a comparison. However, the claim of legitimacy for the invasion of Palestine goes back to the first invasion, does it not? After all, the Jews are just returning to their homeland. I was just pointing out how they got that homeland in the beginning. Nice chaps, the chosen of God and all that. Actually it would seem that most of the reprehensible behavior of the Muslims sort of dates back before Mohammed. After all, he was just another of the spiritual descendants of Abraham.
True, most of the Jews don’t follow the old law, after all, most of them had to live in social orders that frowned on such practices. Stoning adulteresses was a bit out of fashion even in medieval Europe, and the Romans rather frowned on it in Rome.
Actually, the Jews of the Diaspora were, by and large, a pretty decent lot compared with most folks. However, once they got their own playpen, then it was their turn to do the whipping. Never again meant doing it first.
Now they are shoving the Palestinians out into the Palestinian Diaspora. Being the victim seems to teach Humans how to make victims of their own.

Yeah, you can tell how much the rich media controlling Jews in the United States oppose Zionism. Every time someone tries to knock Israel, he gets his butt reamed in the media.
Sure, not every Jew is a Zionist. Some Jews are quite decent. Actually, at one time, the Zionists were a minority among Jews, and back then, most of the Zionists were pretty decent chaps. I think most of them would have been appalled at what is now happening in Palestine.
The smart Zionists know that atrocities are counter productive. However, when the time comes, they still have to justify the Begins and the Shamirs. Just as in the old days when the Irgun and the Stern Gang did the dirty work while the rest of the Zionists shook disapproving fingers. However, when the time comes, what has to be done is done. Not every Israeli likes it. The sign that pointed to the Butcher’s house was erected by an Israeli.
The problem is that smart Zionists are a diminishing set. The continued struggle with the Arabs is brutalizing the Zionists. There was always a small core similar to the Zealots of old. Begin and Shamir, and later, Meir Kahane. While Meir Kahane was a bit much for the Israelis eventually, he still has a follower in the Knesset and the JDL has been restored to legitimacy in the United States. After all, the Democrats are back in power. To the Democrats, there is no such thing as a Zionist terrorist. The Democrats earn their money. Likewise with the American media. It wasn’t uncommon to find the JDL portrayed favorably in American programming. The American media still has a warm spot for the Mossad. After all, the Mossad only murders bad guys.
Oh, it’s not only the rich Jews in the Media. The media runs on money, and lets face it, Zionists have more money than Palestinian Arabs. Yes, some Arabs have money, but they don’t spend much of it on the Palestinian Arabs, there are too many nice cars and fine brothels in the West.
Now, the idea that the Palestinian Arabs would make good soap is gaining ground in Israel and it is not too unusual to hear Zionists speculating approvingly on the construction of gas chambers. After all, the Arabs are a despicable lot. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I would wonder if somewhere down in Hell, Adolf is a bit embarrassed.

Do you buy tinfoil in industrial sized bales?

If you spent as much time addressing issues as you do hurling insults you'd have no trouble finding enough room to comment.

None of his comments were strawmen. They were pretty obvious acknowledgements of fact which gave truth to your implied (and those directly asserted in the thread I'm currently replying to) lie that Jews are evil people bent on genocide.

It doesn't make much sense to ignore the states of matters today in order to assign a condemning value judgment concerning the acts of three thousand years ago to people today. Now, that, that would be a strawman. Comparing not like things and claiming they are alike without regard to the facts that are readily available base on your personal feelings towards a group of people is not insightful. It is tedious, cliche and not on speaking terms with reality.

Godwin's Law violation is an idication that you've got a big bag of nothing to offer the thread.

Most of the post is unanswerable tripe, especially the final paragraph.

That describes most of this thread. I'm bailing out of this burning reck of a thread before it blows into an all out flame war. Nobody is changing any minds, what's the point?

I think you said ...

Feel free to start it. But be warned, I rant to no end my opinions of Zionism. I've come across anti-semites and Islamists that had more good things to say (though their opposition is rarely as legitimate as my own). Israel I've no issue with, they have a right to exist and all but they way they exist, the Zionist party-line, ect...

Well as you said, another thread... If you dare. :giggle:

As I said, I warned against it but we were derailing the other thread.
