Eliza Manningham-Buller, who retired in 2007 as a UK spy-chief, publicly said that the US had misled its allies about what they had been doing to the detainees. I can't help wondering while I was reading that, at how "good" this "Chief" must have been to keep confidences. Apart from the fact that her comments are a bit late anyway to hit the mark.
